Hello all,
I do not know if you are aware, but I am the manager of Footy Weekly and it comes with deep regret from myself and my part time members of staff Chris and Dom, that Footy Weekly has been forced through know fault of its own to be closed down.
There are a number of reasons for this colsure, the first being that we are now struggling to field the 10 hits per week ratio which is highly disapointing, since when we were at our peak we got around 7 a day!
The other big reason is that myself and my team are also now well on the way into doing a GCSE's and so our workload has piled up. Naturally, I tried to gain new and younger staff who had a lesser workload, but I was unable to find anyone who had the correct credentials for the job.
So, they are the main reasons, and now I just need to tell you what will be of Footy weekly in the future. Well, I intend to leave the site up for as long as possible seeing how its main credential is an archive of main news, and so it is intended to be now a good refereance for all news from 2004-2007.
There is also a possibility however of in 2008 in the summer us bringing you a fresh European series of Issues to do with the Euro but this is still only at the planning stage, but should it go through it will not be in the format of this website, a fresh website will be created just for Euro 2008 with the Euro Issue's upon it. There will be a link posted to the site from here.
Thats all now that I can say, but I would like to end this little speech by wishing my readers a happy christmas and I hope that you can find a new way of getting your latest footy news. Also, if you have any question's, please email me on ian.d@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Ian
FOOTY WEEKLY
Hello and welcome to the all new Footy Weekly website. This site is an updation to the previous one, and it models a new layout and colour scheme, as well as access to the Footy news quicker, as the issue that you see on your screen, is a simplified version of the real thing.
Also there is www.footyweekly2.bravehost.com which you can view up to date pictures of the top flight and international games, as well as request a graphic. There is also a website called www.footyweeklyteams.bravehost.com were you can read news from the Premireship.
Happy reading !![]()
